James was born and raised in Arroyo Grande, CA. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in political science, James attended the University of the Pacific, earning a Master’s degree in sports management and then a Juris Doctorate degree. While attending the University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law, James interned for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legal department and the California Military Department. James was also able to accomplish an MBA degree at California State University Sacramento.
James has helped hundreds of clients on the Central Coast with their family law, estate planning law, and business planning needs. He also has experience in dependency cases, giving him a unique perspective on family matters.
In addition to being a lawyer, James spends his time coaching his three children's various sports teams and coaching volleyball at the local high school. He also enjoys volunteering with the youth program at his church and spending time outdoors here on the beautiful central coast.
